Can you tell us about some programs or services that you’re excited about at your library?
We are very supportive of our students and programs, and always looking for ways to be there for our students. I am interested in textbook affordability and shared service through student services.
Tell us about the favorite part of your position and why.
I enjoy working with the current staff by assisting our community college students. Students from all walks of life come to our campus to start or further their education. It's really exciting to work with students from all over the world.
Are there challenges that you face in your work? If you would like to, please elaborate.
I would like to see more materials and resources available in several languages to reflect our diverse student body.
Can you share some advice or tips you have for working with and/or providing services and materials for the Spanish-speaking / Latino community?
Only not to get discouraged. There is always a way. Support comes in many different forms--encouragement, a smile, a form or document, information, resources.
Is there anything else that you would like to tell us about?
